What is Connections?
Connections: A Place to Be Seen, Heard, and Loved
Wednesdays at Connections are more than just a gathering—they’re a space for healing, reflection, and genuine connection. Whether you’ve been hurt by religion, are questioning your beliefs, or simply curious about who God is, you are welcome here.
Each evening begins with a few announcements, followed by the Serenity Prayer, an Opening Statement, and our Shared Agreements. From there, we move into a rhythm of music, meditation, and a shared story—a moment that invites personal reflection and conversation.
Then comes the meal, where guests are encouraged to explore how the story resonates with their own journey. As the evening unfolds, we gather around candlelight, sharing our joys and concerns, offering light to one another in a quiet, sacred way. Dessert follows, along with continued conversation and connection.
Many arrive hungry—not just for food, but for love, belonging, and meaning. Some don’t even realize they’re longing for it until they’re here. Over the years, we’ve witnessed lives transformed through simple acts of kindness and presence.
As one guest once said, “We can get food in different places, but nobody talks to us or wants to have a conversation with us.”
Another often begins her candle-sharing with,
“It’s good to be back in the house of the Lord!”
Connections is not about having all the answers. It’s about showing up, being real, and discovering grace in community. Come as you are. Leave with more than you expected.
