Who We Are
Our Team & Leadership
Our staff is comprised of experienced leadership and dedicated professionals who serve our community across a wide range of ministry and community support.

Rev. B.J. Meyer
Rev. BJ Meyer first came to Central in 2006 as the church organist. Over the years, his role has grown and shifted—from minister of music to office manager to his current position as Associate Pastor of Age Ministries and Outreach.
BJ became an ordained minister in 2023 and is currently pursuing theological studies at the Baptist Seminary of Kentucky (BSK). Before entering full‑time ministry, he taught elementary, middle, and high school band at two Christian schools in Volusia County.
BJ’s heart and theology are deeply rooted in the work of social justice. He believes that Jesus’ words throughout the Gospels are not merely suggestions but genuine calls to action. Raised in the United Brethren and United Methodist traditions, BJ brings a Wesleyan perspective to his ministry—something he affectionately refers to as his “Metho‑Baptist theology.”
He is also passionate about ministering to individuals who are neurodivergent, especially those on the autism spectrum, including his two children. One of BJ’s ongoing goals is to help create ministries and worship spaces that are accessible, welcoming, and supportive for neurodivergent individuals and their families.

Rev. Kevin Collison
As Central works to discover its next Pastor, I will be serving the church as Interim Pastor. The rest of the staff and I plan and lead Sunday worship and you’ll most likely hear me preaching, though I may surprise you with guitar or bass guitar sometime as well.
I’ve been a minister and pastor in several churches in Florida and Texas. For the past five years, I’ve had a new kind of ministry working with an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity in Northeast Florida, coordinating communications.
My wife Kristine and I reside in Orange Park, Florida with five kids. When it’s hot outside, you may find us at the beach, and when it’s cooler we like to hike and camp together.
I look forward to welcoming you to Central the way they have welcomed me!
