Greetings! I hope that your week is going well. I wanted to take a second and let you know some important things about this week and next.
- We have been working on a plan to have a creative worship service every third Sunday of the month, but this month, we will be holding off until the 4th Sunday. This is due to Matt being out of town this weekend for his grandmother’s funeral, as well as our need to “pause” for a week on “The Story.” We met with the group leaders this last week, and our plan was to try and combine some weeks of The Story, so that the death and resurrection lined up with Easter Sunday, but that was very difficult for all of us to do. As a result, this week will be off topic, to give teachers a moment to catch up. Attached to this email is a file showing the updated schedule for The Story. Please note the changes and that on Wednesday, 3/2, we will cover a chapter (Esther). Next week, we will have a creative worship service, aimed at helping us to understand the exile that the Jews experienced. Updated Story Schedule – Click to View/Download
- This week, you may have heard that I have the honor of giving the invocation at the Daytona 500. That requires me to be at the track by 11:30. So the order of worship will be a little bit off this week (the sermon will be towards the beginning) , and we will be starting promptly at 10:45. Announcements will begin at 10:40. So don’t be surprised by our promptness.
I hope you have a good weekend, and I look forward to seeing you on Sunday morning!
