Dear Central Family,
I want to make sure you are aware of the two memorial services that are coming up this weekend. First is the funeral for Linda Free, which will take place on Friday morning at 11am. Linda was a member of Central, and she is related to Louie Free, who helped to build our church, and Janet Free, who has been connected to our church in recent years. A reception will follow, and there is a great need for food to be brought, as the family has a lot of folks coming from out of town. Please let Gwen know if you are able to bring a dish or make something.
Second is the funeral for Philip Ransbottom, Sr., which will take place on Saturday morning at 11am. Philip is the father of Phil, Jr., who recently served as our youth minister, and was a part of the New Beginnings Sunday School class. A reception will follow this service also, and we are hoping that you can help out with food for this service as well.
I know that both of these services fall close to the time of our Soup-r-Chili Cook-Off, but if you are able to provide some food, that would be a great help and a great comfort to these families. Make sure to call Gwen and let her know you can provide a dish for one or both of these two services.
