Dear Central family,
I hope that you are doing well this morning! Holy Week is such a special time of year, when you stop and think about its importance in our spiritual journey. Maundy Thursday, today, is the day that we remember the last Passover meal that Jesus shared with his disciples.
Tomorrow, Good Friday, is the day that we remember the cross of Calvary. And of course Sunday, Easter, is the day of the resurrection. Each of these days is full of meaning and symbolism, if we are willing to take the time out of our busy schedules and make room for God’s Spirit to speak with us.
Tonight, April 13th, is a great opportunity to begin that process of reflection, if you have not already done so, with the Journey to the Cross. it will take place in our sanctuary beginning at 6:30, and will be a silent time of worship as you are
guided through different stations, each remembering different steps and moments leading up to the crucifixion. Linda led us in this worship experience a few years ago, and many of you were moved by it then. So I hope that you will take the time out tonight and make your way to the church for this important time of reflection and worship.
The choir will also practice tonight at 7:30, but they will gather in room four until worshipers are finished in the sanctuary. I hope to see you there tonight, and I also look forward to seeing you on Sunday morning for Easter
communion and worship, beginning at 10:45.
Blessings,
Sonny
