On Sunday, February 6, BSA Scout Troop 65 celebrated 75 years of service to the community and to generations of boys now men including our own Mike O’Sullivan. The celebration included a flag ceremony, recounting the history of scouting by scoutmaster Terry Schmitt and the recognition of Eagle Scouts along with present and past scout leadership. Sonny Gallman was presented the charter for Troop 65. Central Florida BSA Council representative Halvern Johnson brought encouragement to the large group present. The event was topped off with the opening of the 1997 time capsule and a buffet dinner.
